I had coffee with a friend of mine this week. She started her own company a few years ago. I think we share some of the same challenges in that, but also the same joy. We choose what we do with our days and if we see something that should be done, we do it. There is no bureaucracy, no chain of command and no red tape. Sometimes there is comfort in having procedures in place. The slowing effect of a bureaucracy can save one from a rash mistake.
